Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the legend Elvis Presley, is said to be suing the Daily Mail after they released a story saying she was “piling on the pounds”, forcing her to announce her pregnancy. The American singer was said to be furious with the claims made by the paper and is taking the case to the High Court.

Her lawyer, Simon Smith said “My client is deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news.”

On Lisa Marie’s MySpace page she said I was forced to “show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant. Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their pray whilst eerily howling with delight.”

Apparently, she also blasted other tabloids who picked up on the story, and accused them of “writing false defamatory degrading stories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting on weight.”

A judge just ruled that Jamie Spears can give Britney a debit/credit card to use that has a $1,500 per week limit on it.

Jamie’s lawyer, Geraldine Wyle, said it was “so she can spend money, have her freedom, and make choices about how she wants to enjoy her life.”

I think the next step is getting Britney a prepaid cellphone and have her working the lunch shift at the local Jack in the Box.

The Spice Girl criticises Britney on her perfume promotion skills of all things…

Britney Spears has been criticised for a lot of things lately but Posh Spice has a new one!

Victoria Beckham is apparently concerned about her dedication to women’s fragrances.

She said: “I’m not doing a Britney Spears and just putting my name on something and saying: ‘Sell This Perfume!’”

Disreputable newspapers are claiming this will ‘reignite the feud’ between Posh and Brit’, though it sounds unlikely to us.

The Spice Girl was simply talking about her own perfume and fashion ranges. She added: “I’m a complete control freak and I want everything to be perfect.”

In other Britney news she’s set to make a guest appearance in a US TV series How I Met Your Mother.

"Jackass" star Steve-O has been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and has also been charged by the L.A. County District Attorney with felony possession of cocaine.

Regarding the hospitalization, we're told Steve-O was admitted to the
Thalians Mental Health Center last Sunday -- the same place Owen Wilson
was at.

The drug charge stems from his arrest on March 3 for
allegedly vandalizing his neighbor's property, whereupon cops found him
in possession of coke.

Back to the hospitalization, witnesses are claiming that there were burns on his skin all over his
body which I guess don’t find too shocking since that is what he does
as a profession. And also his family and friends are claiming that steve suffers from bipolar disorder.

“Steve is stabilized on meds at this point,” the source
told Star. “He was also treated for burns on his skin as if he had been
putting cigarettes out on his own body.”

“Right now he’s in his extreme mania,” the family member said. “His
concerned friends and family are hoping he’ll seek treatment. He
doesn’t need jail, he needs therapy. We’re just really hoping that this
will be the wake-up call that gets him back to himself.”

But the situation escalated over the weekend when Steve-O, 33,
e-mailed suicide notes to several friends, blaming a broken romance.
Eventually a woman friend and his bodyguard took him to the hospital
around 2pm on Sunday. But he caused a major scene in the hospital, says
one insider.

“Steve started flipping out. He told doctors he wanted
to hurt himself badly. He wanted to break every bone in his body one by
one.”
